Question is how much of it is genuine and how much of it is exacerbated by the PP, who keep calling for the government to end and new elections, while they themselves have a history of major corruption.
I am extrapolating a bit from Germany here, where corruption also is a major issue. The center right SPD in Germany, which seems to be the PSOE equivalent, do have some scandals every now and then, however nowhere close to the far right CDU/CSU, which would be the PP equivalent or the Fascist AfD, which would be the Vox equivalent. Same in Austria, where the far right and fascists are deep diving in corruption, with both Germany and Austria having a mainly right to far-right media landscape that reports on corruption disproportionately.
In which country is that? “Our” Catholics are pretty darn easy and happy about everyone they can get, as a lot of people leave because of child abuse and corruption scandals keeping to emerge.
Also “they” for the most part take their belief as serious maybe going to church once a year. The ones that go every Sunday are already the “hardcore” ones.
I have never been good in FPS when it comes to “both jump around the corner and shoot, who wins?” But i have always been good at: “Where the heck did he come from?! what is this stupid play, this is not the meta!!!” happily frustrating some tryhards. As i get older i can still enjoy that way of playing.
“i can have a bbq with you” is not what i would call “close friends”. A close friend is someone i can bitch to about my personal problems and trust him not to pass any of it on. A close friend is someone on whose couch i could crash in an emergency with little to no questions asked.
From your description i would have thought more of the first category, but maybe i am wrong and you all stick it out for each other like that. In this case props to you all and i hope it lasts.
One of the core societal demands of the prophet Mohamed, blessings and peace be upon him, was to end the practice of burying daughters alive. At the time a daughter was considered a disgrace, so some pre-islamic Arabs murdered their daughters this way.
The Quran is also very explicit about the rights of women and the correct behavior towards them, something that is often ignored in societies that claim to be muslim, but evidently did not read much.
“OG Islam” is fundamentally opposed to femicide. Femicides aren’t a religious but a cultural issue and prevalent outside of religious groups too.
Good. The US doesn’t understand anything else. The more countries call the bluff and just fight back, the more the US will screw over itself, while strengthening ties between everyone else.
Shame on some EU countries and companies that chose to let Trump dictate them instead. It will only lead to worse demands from the US.
Thank you for the article. It brought up something quite interesting that i wasn’t aware off before:
But why does Spain rely so heavily on Russia despite the almost global disapproval? The answer lies in this country’s extensive regasification capacity, which stands at 67.1 bcm - the largest in all of Europe. This enables Spain to receive LNG shipments on behalf of other countries that lack the necessary infrastructure, making it a critical hub for European energy trade.
looking a bit into it i found this article:
https://rbac.com/spains-role-as-a-natural-gas-importer-and-re-exporter/
So it seems that Spain is also taking the flak here for other EU countries that want to profit from Russian gas but not be directly associated with it.
Is it more? I know Spain is still buying some LNG from Russia, but i would have thought the amount went down, not up.
The German state of Bavaria once did something in the direction of moving away from MS. When Microsoft put their German headquarters into Munich the idea was scraped.
Do you think you could teach Linux to your grandmother?
Yes. Set automatic package updates, Install firefox with ublock and put it on the taskbar, and bookmark Facebook and Youtube for her. It is the same thing as under Windows.
I would argue that for the most “tech illiterate” users the Linux experience can be made even easier than the windows experience, because you have to set up everything for them anyways.
To comment on the question as to why less people are protesting in Europe. The Picture is a screenshot of a policemen in Germany shoving a women bystander violently to the ground from the back during a demonstration in Berlin last year.
Funnily enough Airbus already is a Spanish-French-German joint company with many facilities in France.
I wouldn’t be surprised if my description of many German businesses these days also apply to many French businesses, but i haven’t had any professional contact with businesses in France yet.
It is all relevant to the notion of “Dark Ages” as an explainer for the development of humanity at the time, when in fact this is just Western ignorance to the rest of the world, as has been discussed in the subsequent comment chain. It is the same ideology that ignores all the human achievements outside of Europe at that time, that then goes to rob cultural and historical heritage of the people that had been more advanced at that time and declare these non white people as barbarians.
These aspects are fundamentally linked together in a larger racist imperial ideology and it is important to understand and challenge that ideology to challenge its revision of history. Anyways, i’ll be doing some al-jabr mathematics now.
You have to drive in a way that accounts for bad road design though. if you have to crawl around a corner you can’t see well then you have to do that.
It is your responsibility as a driver to make sure that you can safely stop within the distance you can see, at all times.
If you can only see 10cm around the corner, then you have to drive at 5cm/s
More importantly the driver hit the cyclist from behind. The front light, helmet and earphones are all irrelevant to the accident. It doesn’t matter if you hear that a car is behind you or not, if the car just slams into you. If you cycle somewhere except extremely rural areas you will hear cars all the time and you can’t turn around to look at every car approaching form behing
What would be relevant instead are back lights and reflectors. The article mentions that the police had found a back light, which indicates it was broken off the bike by the hit.
Protecting child rapists is one of the dirtiest play you can play.
Releasing the list, prosecuting the rapists and making this the topic in all interviews going forward to expose every last one of them as well as possible ties to Israeli intelligence, that would be the clean play.
Closed spaces without ventilation containing harmful gasses and insufficient amount of oxygen?
Who could have known?!
Fucking around instead of delivering is a pretty good description of how a lot of German businesses work these days.
Israel attacking Civillians in international waters make the Houthis terrorists?
Lezs see what comes out of it. Columbia for instance has stopped its coal shipments to Israel. If there is an organized effort, the countries could throw around quite some weight, especially if China decides to support or join the group, rather than just talk.
Working together in a coordinated fashion also allows to protect each other and make it easier for countries to join that are currently scared of repercussions by the US, UK, Germany, Italy and France.
If Ireland, Spain and Portugal take an active role as supporter or also join the group, it will pressure the EU once again to decide, if it wants to be an Union of human rights and international rules, or if it wants to be an Union of genocidal racism and colonialism.
With the continuation of the association agreement with Israel despite the blatant human rights violations by Israel, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Czech Republic and the other supporter of Israel really did a number on the EU in that way already.
Will it be enough to end the genocide now? No it wont. Nothing short of military action to force Israel back into its borders will. Still it is better and more than anything that the EU has produced in the past two years. To its utter disgrace and shame.
