When the bad option is chosen, people making these options would often claim that the bad option is ‘good enough’ and stop improving, if not improving is more profitable to them.

- from the use of traditional glyphs, you can assume that i don’t live in the PRC

Yes.
Anyway, easily avoidable by using the superior light mode.
I find it hard to focus on characters using dark mode.
