ME is when I switched to Linux just sometimes I also have a windows machine… Like the win10 gaming laptop that is really end of life… (If you don’t want gaming sure it could be fine on Linux but it’s wasn’t intended to live this long so a good gaming machine before the year of win10 extended support ends is likely in my future… And will likely run Linux)

I use prism launcher for Java edition Minecraft both on windows and Linux. (Good for modded setups and pinning versions as well much better than stock)

I see “gold rush” the company selling shovels is making out like a bandit, everyone else is make a profit on the previous gen but requires a 10x cost increase for the next gen. And thus 10x more shovels… As soon as 10x more shovels stops giving 10x+ improvements this is the wrong investment.

I am perfectly ok with android apps being required to be signed by not just a certificate (they always were just it could be self signed and just needed to match to upgrade without removing data) but a list of trusted entities.

As long as:

• I can install my own key on my phone (I’d I am trusted)
• major distributors like fdroid and have a key installed without friction (like web CAs)
• Google let’s me mark their key as untrusted (I probably won’t but I should be able to refuse things they trust (at install time, not disabling preloaded apps like settings)

Without this it feels too much extending the monopoly despite being forced to allow 3rd party stores.

Do it in the primary… where the current system expects it… but… there is only 1 or 2 primary candidates in the current style winner takes all scenario we have… and ID say fight for instant runoff elections, but vote for those with a chance until then… Even if you think your state is safe…

Sorry, you will get big changes voting for Trump. becasue too much is already in place to make those types of changes happen. I dont agree with these changes, but to say they are the “same” is a dangerous opinion.

The person at the top is needed to green light policy… those lower down present such policy… While this can seem boring it is important, since while by definition the president will be at the center of their party. If the party you vote for is most interested in vetoing everything of the other party… even if they agree with the law in general, there is no progress.

Of course you must do more than just vote for the least bad president to make the change happen… However if you can’t at least do that you own the results os the OP said.
