I use sftp://files.lan with my Synology rather than SMB as its usually easier when using both Linux client and server and you can set up key authentication. I guess you are using the Nautilus files app with Ubuntu, so you can then drag and pin folders to the list of folders (under Documents, Music etc) on the left.

I have many problems with copyright as it’s currently implemented, but with copyleft it usefully creates a social contract: if you want to be involved for the benefits, you must also uphold the rule of contributing back.

Book lungs are just in arachnids, but some insects do move their abdomens to force air in and out so a similar kind of breathing I suppose. Take a little caterpillar though, they just have small holes all over which doesn’t scale well as they get bigger.

Interestingly, analogous to the beam/stone scaling problem, the insects have a surface area to volume scaling problem for oxygen, as they take it in through their body’s surface. I suspect the material strength is less of a factor, because we do indeed see much larger insects in the fossil record.
