In my experience preaching this same thing to many users at work and just personal friends, they won’t change their ways. Because “omg not another password to remember” and “that’s too much work to login just to get a password”.
I’ve just stopped trying to educate people at this point. That’s on them when their info gets leaked or accounts drained.
No one has brought up Unraid OS specifically yet. Others have said just build your own machine, and yes absolutely this is the way. And then just slap Unraid on that and you have yourself exactly what you’re looking for. It’s user friendly, as powerful as your wallet can handle, and plenty of room for expandability.
Hahah our butter dish is left on the counter, but it does have a lid. Not a heavy one, so cat has learned to nudge it and it will fall off. Have to keep it in the corner, but if we forget, the butter monster is in full force during the night.

133·1 year agoA cat is going to go on the counters whether you allow it or not. They have a whole alternate life during the night. Your cat/s are definitely on the counters lol

16·1 year agoAre we counting like Ares and Limewire? I just wanted to listen to music and could never pay it. That turned into software I wanted but couldn’t buy. Then I stopped for a while and started up again years ago not wanting to pay for streaming

21·1 year agoOh for sure, I see your point. I would still trust managers over using (most likely) same insecure personal info passwords for every web account.

71·1 year agoThat’s on them then. Password managers are free and have been around for a while, no excuses using personal information in a password anymore.

Someone needs to smoke some weed asap, damn.
