Well shit I have to mark it down as something I shouldn’t try to rush through between tasks. I was a dumbass and just cd’d to the /media/ directory, ran the ls -la to verify they looked the same on both drives then not wanting to check all the sub directories ran the sudo 755 recursively from the media directory. In my haste I shoved my head up my ass and instead of typing ./ I typed / … I’ll have to reinstall the OS and start over later as it obviously wrecked the entire OS because it changed the permissions for even sudo before I hit Ctrl c, lol.

If that were the issue would it not add the folder and then not see the context?

To understand what you meant, does that mean I should try to mount them as mnt/w.e?

No docker, standard setup, files set to paths set to things like /media/open/whateverdrivename/movies or etc

I go to the folder, copy the path, and run chmod from terminal, then copy the path to the jellyfin add library if your curious… it just won’t recognize anything
