But I checked modlogs, and apparently I banned them over 3 months ago. But literally within minutes of me making a comment they banned me.

I’m not sure why OP wasn’t on my blocklist, but they’re clearly spam creating communities so they can power trip and have some sort of list of people they’re waiting to ban.

So compared to 40 years ago, the singular they is having a resurgence. Compared to 400 years ago and it’s barely being used today.

What should make it obvious that English is becoming more gendered and not less, is other western European languages even have gendered nouns. Put a Spaniard, a German, and a Frenchman in a room with a table and they’re just gonna argue what kind of genitals the table would have if it was a hypothetical living thing.

That also helps illustrate how a language can just drop gender, English just uses “the” while other languages use something like “die, der, das” all to mean the same as “the”.

I saw another video of a robot “ultimate fighting league” recently with humanoid bots.

The two clankers went for 100% roundhouse kicks and missed almost everytime, but when they fell down?

It didn’t look real, they were back on their feet perfectly in milliseconds. It was clear the kicks was just the only scripted move, but these bots have picked themselves up off the ground probably millions of times. So that’s the only thing they currently excel at.

Eventually they’re gonna be straight up ninjas.

It’s fucking stupid to wait until we can’t beat them to try and outlaw them. We need to act now before the oligarchs literally have an army of terminators.

We need to outlaw the bots and fix wealth inequality while we still have the numbers.

When/if OP enters another country, he would be an immigrant to that country and an emigrant from the US.

They say “expat” in new country because they don’t want to call themselves immigrants searching for a better life, even when they’re open about that being what they’re doing. And they get to keep “US” in front of it which is a huge bonus for some people despite America’s reputation.

But once over there when talking to people also over there, they should be identifying as an immigrant.

Doing anything else, is only going to make friends with other “US expats” like the boomer communities in Mexico where no one speaks Spanish and they put zero effort into fitting in. Wherever you go that paints a target on your back, not just for outright crime, but to get taken advantage of by locals at every opportunity.

Ironically they’re often liable to keep complaining about how immigrants don’t try to integrate in America, even after leaving.

They just want to live somewhere that they’re “rich” compared to everyone else.
