As someone pointed out, ShadPS4 is the emulator. It apparently works well now. Depends on your PC but I think 60fps high resolutions is achievable.

Oh no, look at me. It was 3am when I commented. Thanks mate.

Rpcs3 is always there to be added as a non Steam game
Edit:ShadPS4
You’re into Linux because either you want to escape capitalism/closed source monitoring every aspect of your life, or because muh freedom.
Yeah that too was a big reason why I stopped.

Mental outlaw is a bit of nutter IMO. I couldn’t live with that level of paranoia, so I stopped watching him.

Not if you’re the shareholder of a company suffering from a zero day exploit.
Exact same boat as you… Urgh. Maybe community drivers are possible?
I’m not that interested in the game but very glad people seem to be liking it.

He’s in a tricky position but I’d like to see him create anything that he finds interesting. It doesn’t need to be as refined as Obra Dinn, but it would be a shame if he didn’t release something just because it’s 75% as good as Obra Dinn.
Lucas Pope is a much smarter person than me, so I’m sure he’ll make the right decision for him. I’m sure just making money doesn’t mean all that much to him anymore.

I love the low-fidelity production.

That’s a game selection issue IMO. Busy people shouldn’t play games they don’t have the time to get invested into. AAA design and marketing has pushed this idea that every game has to be this big 100 hour open world RPG narrative adventure, but there’s so much good stuff out there that’s over in less time or doesn’t demand huge play sessions.

Might as well just straight up jack it instead of thinking about the game at all.

At least the new version will be free if you have the old one. Wonder what the changes are.
I would guess ai-enhanced backgrounds like we’ve had mods for for ages.

I’m picturing a toddler seeing a soldier get beheaded by an arrow from horseback, looks over at Dad for emotional support, and Dad looks on with an approving grin, comfortable that he’s made the right choice of early childhood films.
Also, The Matrix/Terminator as a suggestion for a small child is a big lol.

I think economics would basically push things that way. If most people cannot or will not buy the latest hardware, the investment of 600 million dollars or more into a AAAA game that hardly anyone can run won’t happen.

There’s only a handful of games worth playing that a 10 year old mid-range computer can’t play anyway. I don’t see the point of upgrading for Indianna Jones or COD.

I thought it was one of the better LTT videos for sure. Torvalds is much better on camera than he claims to be and it was interesting to see his outlook on a broad range of questions.

Kids want to play what their friends/community are playing.
Disappointing, but I’m still going to be running the free tier of Bitwarden for the time being. Thanks for the heads up.
