London Marathon organisers say more than 1.1 million applications have been received for 2026, smashing the record of 840,318 set by last year's ballot.

    Not entirely on topic but I’d like to encourage everyone interested in getting into running to try the coach to 5k program. https://www.nhs.uk/better-health/get-active/get-running-with-couch-to-5k/ marathons aside, getting out there and doing any form of exercise is better than none! And I bet a lot of people will be surprised with what they’re capable of…

    Based on my friends its probably about 50/50. Based on work colleagues, only one runner.

    So probably not.
