    unironically, that would be the face i make while i order $80 worth of delivery food and tip my usual hundo on top because i have left the gravitational pull of normal material concerns.

      When you have one of the most recognisable faces in the world, you can bet all eyes will be on you when it comes to tipping. And former US president Barack Obama has never disappointed. In 2013, USA Today reported how Obama left a 52 per cent tip when dining out at Magnolia’s delicatessen and cafe in Rochester, New York. Per the publication, it wasn’t the first time waiters had spoken about how he added cash to the bill beyond the expected 20 per cent gratuity.

      In my google search - there’s an awful lot of news-copypasta about those 2013 tips and then google turns to shit. And when I checked page 2 - the results turned to total rubbish. Example…

        if i was rich like that and just trying to get some grub, i would legit walk into restaurants with some hundos just to discretely hand them to servers, etc. same with any tradies i encountered who were doing work.

        full disclosure, i re-watched Casino last week. there’s a whole sequence/montage of this that is mesmerizing.

        but honestly, it just seems like a good idea. even if the service sucks or whatever, who cares. if you’re that caked up, it is the easiest way to build a little goodwill around you. i wouldn’t walk around with a phat roll or flash it, because that seems a bit reckless. but learning how to shake hands with someone and slyly put a folded hundo in their hand seems cool too lol.

        for a lot of people, that’s like a full day’s net take home. which means whatever else they pull in that day is bonus. and if its cash, they don’t have to declare it lol.
