Death Stranding 2 is shaping up to be Kojima’s most surreal game yet. The teaser blends eerie symbolism with next-gen visuals, and Fragile’s transformation hints at deeper timelines. If you thought the first game was weird, this one looks like it’s breaking its own rules.

🔥 Can’t wait to see how Lou’s story unfolds.

I understand why the games aren’t for everyone, but they are for me lol. The way he created the “strand contract” system was like crack to me, and it seems like they’ve only improved it for the second game.

The story is nonsense pretty much lol. Don’t care.

The story is good… It doesn’t make sense at first because it’s so complex. Kojima likes making complex stories, he did the same thing with Metal Gear. The story was my favorite part of Death Stranding.

I wasn’t a huge fan of the end of the first game…

        spoiler

Things didn’t really make sense until the ending, which was like 90+ minutes of lackluster shooting and exposition dump of “here’s what’s actually happening, doesn’t it all make sense now?” shit. Without that exposition in the literal ending cutscene, you would have no idea what the game was about. That’s kind of bad storytelling imo.

I actually just really like the gameplay lol. Just started the second game and enjoying it so far.

Lots of cool shit happens and some big concepts are being discussed. But, basically, the whole thing boils down to, “Higgs is a jackass.”
