Brand doesn’t matter afaik.
They are simple metal parts so they’ll last forever, unlike the plastic ones.
The rubber seals and o-rings are standard parts that can be easily sourced and replaced.
Grease can help seal them, however it also attracts dirt so not ideal.

    I personally find that anything made out of metal is always(almost) better than there plastic alternative. I used to work in plumbing in my youth, at some point in my plumbing career I started refusing to install faucets made of plastic because the customer would always call us back because it started leaking.

      There are plastics better than metal - but they are not cheap, most looking for plastics look for cheap and so often anything plastic you can get is junk.

      I’m replacing my lead soldered copper with pex as I go.
