When I think about why I stopped using Reddit and didn’t just switch to the official app when they killed the API, I forget that the official app has ads.

Not just the normal corporate shilling posts but actual literal ads right in the app.

I’m sure you can pay to remove them but nah.

    The ads arent even the worst part

    The video player, on the occasions it works, forces you in an interface like tiktok, even allowing you to accidentally scroll down for another video to start playing

      And furthermore if you post a link to Reddit on say discord, it embeds with a fake video player that is literally just a static image and why the f*** does it do that
