    This is the way to do it. I understand the car tax but because it’s not based on income, only the elite get to drive around NYC now.

    Instead, actual car free sections fix the problem and are fair to everyone.

      This hardly makes a difference since you’re already fucked most times by grid lock if you’re in a car anywhere in Manhattan. If you need to get across town faster, do what the rest of us do, and take the subway.

        City has 10 parallel car heavy paths to get from point A to B : normal, good, as it should be.

        City has 9 parallel car heavy paths and 1 person/bike/transit path to get from point A to B : A travesty, doom for business, the unraveling of all civilization.

      Out of curiosity, do you live here?

      I’ve never taken a cab across town, but I don’t live in Manhattan itself. Bus, train, or just walking has always been enough. (Or biking, for the brave)
