At one point, my father was visiting me, and somehow we got on to the topic of abortion. I said anyone who does not believe in a woman’s right to choose is not welcome in my house, so he should stop talking. He said, “Well, if we did believe in abortion, you never would have been born.” That was not the winning argument he thought it was.
