It would put the lives of countless Palestinians and about 20 living hostages at risk, and deepen Israel’s already stark international isolation.
I feel so helpless and horrified. And amidst all of this life still goes on. It sometimes feels surreal to me.

I don’t disagree, everyone will take care of their own, but if China wants to be a true world power, it can’t just focus inward and ignore everyone else.

Not hatred, the Palestinian Authority is essentially an Israeli puppet “state”. The Palestinian Authority can’t be trusted indeed, but for exactly the opposite of the reason you’d expect. They haven’t done anything significant to further the Palestinian cause in decades.
