For those who feared the summit on Ukraine might resemble Chamberlain’s appeasement of Hitler in 1938, the reality was worse
The president revealed: “Vladimir Putin said something – one of the most interesting things. He said: ‘Your election was rigged because you have mail-in voting … No country has mail-in voting. It’s impossible to have mail-in voting and have honest elections.’

For those not in the knowing, in several of the last election cycles in Russia we had votes-by-internet integrated via a questionable semi-aligned to the government portal called Gosuslugi, our e-gvnmt meta service. The time window to cast your vote in person or otherwise was widened a lot (whole three days for in-person voters), probably to cover for the lack of visible participation, and to claim many are voiting via web, where right numbers can be printed directly.
One of the previous elections, not a presidential one iirc, was held together by a blockchain that, surprisingly, didn’t lead to any transparency in the end, and some suggested the said blockchain was reconstructed behind the scenes when no observer had access to it.
I’m confused why mail-in-ballots are even talked about there. Like, disconnected from what I said just now from my personal case&opinion, what’s ever the point? Did they seen a ghost of Biden or Obama to fight against? Or lil Trumpy needed that clap on his shoulder to say he’s really the boss by a guy he trust to judge that? Why?
The appeasement of Hitler was when Macron was going around meeting with Putin and telling us all that they had an agreement and there would be peace.
