I’d recommend having a simple backup instead of an extra Immich instance. It’ll be much cheaper and let you back up other stuff too. Backblaze B2 is probably the cheapest option for that. I don’t remember the exact pricing, but should be doable under $30/month. (It can be done for much cheaper with Backblaze personal plan, if you’re willing to jump through some hoops.)
