I just realized tonight that after having my CPAP for 5 years, the chronic shoulder pain I’ve lived with since I was a child is gone. My shoulder pain came from sleeping on my arms at night, to the point that they would lose circulation and feeling. Sometimes I even tore my shoulder trying to turn over when is lost feeling in my arms. I thought everyone must sleep like that and didn’t realize I had sleep apnea and I was using my arms to help prop myself up. Now with my CPAP I can comfortably sleep on my back, and it has been years since I’ve had shoulder pain.

I highly recommend a CPAP for all around good health!

Im only a few months in to my CPAP treatment for sleep apnoea and its been shocking to realize just how much stress my body has been under for my whole life. The first few weeks were crazy with mood swings of black depression and manic energy bursts, but it is slowly evening out and now im actually feeling rested after sleep. I’m early forties, never energetic or sporty though not overweight. Just unable to do alot physically. Now for the first time i am exercising on my own impetus and i feel i might make it past my fifties. Doc said my overnight oxygen levels were so low i would have been hospitalised in any other circumstance, but all i knew was that i was apparently a bad snorer. It has been a few months of pain but my god the benefit is real in my case.
