People in the real world begin to think it’s normal to behave like X, and subsequently start actually behaving like X themselves.

Most people do not consider property damage to corporations as terrorism even if the courts and law says it is.
There is a huge disconnect here which has to be highlighted otherwise leftists are grouped in with mass murderers.

Also perspective helps as overall the amount of terrorism has been very low for both all of Western Europe and the US excluding events like 9/11 for the last few decades.
