As a child, I couldn’t stand the feeling of clothing tags against the back of my neck. It would drive me up the wall, but my parents thought I was just being fussy, so I’d often get in trouble for fidgeting with them. I still can’t tolerate tight shirts, obnoxious tags, or anything around my neck. Even clippers touching the back of my neck during a haircut send the bad kind of shivers through my entire body.
