minus-squaremicgerne@lemmy.dbzer0.comlinkfedilinkarrow-up9·2 months agoI don’t get why this is a divisive topic. We’ve got arbitrary nonsense units vs sensible easy to understand measurements, where’s the debate? Clearly my preferred system of measurement is superior.

minus-squareSwingingTheLamp@piefed.ziplinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up2·2 months agoBritain uses Imperial, we use US Customary units. There is a difference. (They get more beer in a pint, for one.)
minus-square[deleted]@piefed.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up2·2 months agoAnd yet nobody brings that technicality up during those discussions because the terminology is the same since it is just a different version of the same thing.

minus-squarecattywampas@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up2arrow-down1·2 months agoHonestly. It’s not hard to know both.
minus-square[deleted]@piefed.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·2 months agoI’ll bet you are smug in multiple languages.
