Yes, socialism is the transitional stage when the working class takes power in society, but existing capitalist relations have not been yet abolished.
obviously there is. He is technically contradicting himself because he both says that socialism is the transitionary phase towards communism and that they are the same. It cannot be both. You cannot use A as a tool to get towards B if A and B are the same. Then you don’t have to do anything because you are already there.
As an agitation and basic explanation though, he’s doing a really good job.
i suspect that social media influencers like this guy are the only light keeping socialism alive in the west and the fact that we can practically hear crickets chirping as a response to this video goes to show how thoroughly poisoned this well is and how long it will take before adoption is widespread.
For adoption to be wide spread Westerners need to be as battered as the Global Southeners are.

If things keep getting worse for the US than yeah, probably. I think EU still has a long way to go.
