For me screen size was a significant factor when shopping for an e-reader. There’s a limit below which it doesn’t feel like reading a book anymore. I feel slightly alienated by seeing so many smartphone-sized e-readers, at least in this sub.

I felt the exact same way until I got my small xteink. It’s my carry-around go-to reader for when I’m running around, or going to park, etc. and I love it!

But in bed at night I have my larger, backlit Pocketbook that I read on.

Well bezos doesn’t believe in pee breaks, or leaning against anything to take a moment to breathe between shift action points, so if you’re never gonna sit, lean, or potty, it should be fine. I mean, you’ll never have time to read from it, but still

I see what you’re saying, but Bezos hasn’t run Amazon day-to-day since 2021, Andy Jassy has been CEO since then. Warehouse policies and break rules aren’t his to set anymore.

And he definitely doesn’t have anything to do with the Kindles now.

Lots of people rake in profits from Kindles. Designers, builders, writers, editors, sellers, etc. None of that bothers me. Few people work on things that don’t generate profits.
