Meanwhile I can pull my bicycle, scooter, or unreasonably large motorcycle onto pretty much any sidewalk in Vietnam or China and find space, because you can fit 10 motorbikes or 15 bicycles into 1 parking spot.

I had a friend with a very small motorcycle. More like calling it a gas powered bicycle. He parked it at bike rack and was given a ticket. Every available surface in our downtown is monetized.
