So… Uhhh.
I worked in TWO show-caves for years (as a tour guide, yo)
…& sadly one thing I didn’t know was that bats had fat asses tho.
I knew that they ate mosquitoes and flew gracefully around, whizzing over tourists with a chirpy squeaking sound.
…and I’ve seen a decent lovely few of these batass pics from you
But never once questioned…
Is a bat-fart a high-frequency pitch as well??.. and why dat bat-butt look so swell?
Bats have both a much more limited gut microbiome than we do, and their digestion only takes 15-30 minutes due to their small size, so there is not much time for fermentation and gas production to occur. While science hasn’t ruled out that bats can fart, no such toot has ever been observed. They are generally considered fartless.
As for the stunning glutes, it looks to be mostly an illusion. They do have some muscle back there, of course, but it’s mostly from their natural resting posture jutting out those femurs, and then being covered in fur. It would probably be disappointing to try to pinch a bat butt, compared to how it would appear.

This is a fantastic new entry for the Hitchhiker’s Guide in reference to 'Bats

Speak for yourself, I like a challenge
I should have access to bats next year. I will try to remember to conduct some field research into the plumpness of their rumpness. 🦇🍑
I feel like this post has the potential to get your bat access revoked :p
Nah, they don’t hang out here. I tried to show them Lemmy and their eyes quickly glazed over.
Omg I fell in love with pikas when I was in Banff. Their little squeaks are ADORABLE.

Nice!
I’m sure there are many cute tan eggs I don’t know about, but the pika may be the cutest one I am aware of!
