BS When Trump is gone the performance can end and we’ll instantly be ‘friends’ again.
Europe, the vassals, will have solely paid for the US proxy war just as the americans asked long before this fake spectacle but couldn’t sell to their population already massively impoverished from sanctions on themselves.
    Mission accomplished.

LOL at these comments and OP, dumb AF

All the damage Trump has caused, isn’t even really hitting the US yet. Over the next 6 months it’s going to get worse.

Yep. And the frustrating part is that a lot of very fucking stupid voters will fail to understand that geopolitics is a wee bit more complicated than winning an election and waving a magic wand, especially when it comes to trying to repair generation-long relationships and dynamics after the regime has fully shattered many of them.

I’m not even talking about the international relations, that’ll play out over the next generation. The damage he’s done to our medical system with the only real bill they passed, and global food prices come spring, are going to be genuine horror stories. Then top that off with inflation that’s going to affect everything, everywhere, because we’re transitioning off oil via explosive devices. Find some lube my neighbor, we’re all gonna need it.

As a European, I try not to be spiteful. Even after a stupid voting decision like electing Trump twice in the US or Brexit in UK, I always hope that the relationships grow back to a healthy level. I mean, here in Germany we once elected Hitler, Italians chose Mussolini etc. and I’m very thankful we weren’t internationally isolated and punished for decades. At the moment I try to boycott US companies, but that’s not set in stone. If the US starts to treat its partners with respect again and be more reasonable in general, I see no reason to object a collaboration. Not talking about the midterms specifically. More like a general sentiment.

The thing is, everyone needs to be ready for this happening again. Sure we should continue trading with the US and be partners (If they fix all their issues, including funding a genocide), but we shouldn’t be put in a place again where we are reliant on any single country for trade or resources. Same goes for Russia. We should for sure strive to have friendly relations with them in the future, but we can’t be in a position where we would freeze to death without their oil.

Next time a new Trump comes into power, we should be able to cut off the US without it crippling us.

I’ve reduced purchasing anything US-made, I do that with Chinese goods too: buy European as much as possible.

I don’t think the US will be hated, but they definitely will have lost their position as undisputed leader of the free world they’ve had since WW2, and countries will definitely be hedging their bets more with their defense spending.

Half sarcastic, half not. The US had a wild amount of influence for decades, whether we liked it or not. They’re going to have a lot less influence going forward.
