I grew up with cats and it was like that. I’m now on my second dog and whenever I randomly get down on my knees he comes up, buries his head under my chest, breathes a heavy breath of calmness and relaxation and wags his tail a bit. When I leave home he accompanies me to the door and we say goodbye, when I get back he basically attempts to crawl right through me while wagging everything off the shelves left and right. Very cuddly that one.

Most of our cats act that way. It’s largely about how they’re raised.
One of mine will climb on me when I sit on the couch and yell until I cradle her like a baby
