But yeah, that’s why i said that probably any bread knife is a bifl item, just this knife is hands down the best bread knife i have ever used, so i thought i’d recommend it.

I remember being a bit turned off when they recommended it to me in the shop, because of it being a Victorinox, but they told me it’s the standard bread knife for all the restaurants etc, so i thought why not, it was also only around 20€ or something. I bought it for my parents too, they somehow lost their old bread knife (how can you lose a bread knife?), they also like it a lot.

Linked posts are crap, because they link to a specific instance and you cannot participate unless you are on that instance or search the /c for the topic on your home instance yourself. At least i have not found a way to link to posts in a way that keeps you on your instance like with linking (distant) communities.

Nice community! I have never heard about world being not ok with hosting the images, it’s very convenient i think. I also made some donations so i don’t feel bad at all about hosting my images here. I like lemmy.world, but i guess i’m in the minority here, it often seems more like a “get off .world and .ml” community than about growth of the lemmyverse.

To me it’s topic and community first, instance i don’t care much, it’s federated anyway.

I kinda want to give it another try. There was once a blogpost posted here (i think) about basically “how to have fun on mastodon”, something like that, but i can not find it anymore. Anybody remember this and got a link?
