I have no idea. I work in a large department and I don’t know who 3/4 of my coworkers are. I’ve never even seen the symbols in person, this was the first time I was made aware of them.

Honestly, this tracks with where I work. I thought it was something cooler.
Yeah…I thought that as soon as I hit Enter.
I genuinely believe everyone should serve some sort of customer service role at least once in their life.
From the ones ive seen mentioned, I second Electroboom, Crime Pays But Botany Doesn’t, Practical Engineering, ZeFrank, and Kurzgesagt.
If you like biology and evolution, I would recommend Lindsay Nikole.
If you like deep dives into various types of engineering, I would recommend Real Engineering. He does a lot of aviation and aerospace stuff.

I think I have bad taste

Aremel@lemmy.worldto science@lemmy.world•UN livestock emissions report seriously distorted our work, say experts9·1 year agoI can think of a couple ways, but whether or not they’d work is unclear or if they’d even be ethical or practical.
Best one I got is to keep the cows indoors and collect the methane from the internal atmosphere. Make the roof of said building out of glass or some other clear material so that the cows and their grazing ground has access to sunlight. But then you’d need to regularly clean the roof…
Not to mention having to maintain an HVAC system that siphons all the air (or maybe just the top layer?) of the interior space and somehow separates the methane from the myriad other gases in the space.
Sounds plausible but impractical.
Aremel@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Lemmings who have tasted dog food, what brands do you recommend for after the apocalypse?6·1 year agoI can’t remember the brand, but the packaging looked like human food except for a very small piece of text in the corner that mentions its dog food.
It tasted like it just needed a little bit of salt or maybe ketchup, but was otherwise pretty good.
I’ve also knowingly had wet and dry dog food since then, just because i already took the plunge accidentally so how bad could it be?
Again, I can’t remember the brands, but dry dog food is alright if you’ve literally nothing else. I’m sure some seasoning would help. I would recommend wet dog food though only because it’s easier to season. Tastes mostly how it smells, just blander.
Yeah, I remember that! this is very reminiscent of that incident judging from the rest of the comments.
