1·10 天前Similar to Proton & Tuta, they’re storing it encrypted at rest. However you really only have full encryption at rest if the sender encrypts their email with your PGP Key or S/MIME Certificate. There’s nothing stopping Proton or any other provider from making a copy of every email not sent using this as it arrives or sends.

Mozilla Thunderbird is about to launch Thundermail, which looks like it will be more open (no bridge to use in email clients), include a free tier eventually, and of course is owned by a nonprofit unlike Proton.

Tailscale is not American, it’s Canadian 🍁
The only other one not mentioned I can think of is Pinetime, but it doesn’t do all you want without a phone

Mycroft, like Snips, was a company that developed a voice assistant, making their hardware and software open source. Their legacy is carried on by OVOS, with Neon as the commercial partner.
There is no LLM integrated into KDE Plasma Bigscreen, but you are free to (or to not in your case) connect OVOS to one like a self-hosted Ollama + Open WebUI instance or ChatGPT. It does not ship with one by default.

I have a desktop, but would buy it for the bespoke compact hardware to fit in the TV console. The dedicated antennas are a clear sell as well.
Right now I Steam Link via Shield, but I need wired or a better router to do any low latency play.

You can connect Ollama and cloud providers like ChatGPT into OVOS/Neon, so that when you ask questions it doesn’t know how to handle, it can respond using the LLM.
I would love if Valve shipped and contributed to Plasma Mobile and Plasma Bigscreen alongside the existing Plasma Desktop. Or even if more Steam Deck users installed it so that it would get more interest.

It’s a good question. I think you’re right in that maybe they haven’t been fully clear yet on that. If the encryption at rest is based on PGP or S/MIME, that would likely be the only scenario where the keys could reside on your host if you have your private key there
