The fact that one of those two parties will win does not mean we need to accept the DNC as a valid representative of the working classes, as they fix nothing and maintain imperialism.

They may or may not fix anything, but the RNC will make things worse. The RMC has enabled a fascist takeover that is stripping rights from LGBT people, spreading contagious diseases with antivax policy, abusing and shooting people dead in the street in the name of border security, initiating a coup in Venezuela by kidnapping a national leader, murdering sailors with drone strikes, and denying the basic civil liberties of millions of residents. You can tell me all day about how bad the DNC is but at the end of the day they are the least worst choice.

Both the DNC and GOP are far-right parties of genocidal imperialists

And one of these will be running the country in 2028. Forming a coalition to fight them is a great long term goal, bit it takes time and momentum.

We need to stop treating capitalist-controlled and run elections as our primary political outlet

As of September 2025, 54% have a positive view of capitalism compared to 39% with a positive view of socialism. Those numbers are converging, but we have at least a decade or two before they cross. We just don’t have the numbers to pull it off.

    revolutionary working class parties.

Unions. We need to build unions. When a majority of people see unions working for them against the capitalists, then they will be ready to accept something new.

  • There was a great experiment with chimps and human babies that shows a critical difference in our thought patterns. Researchers put grapes in a cage and gave the chimp/child a rake with tines wider than the grapes. They showed the chimp/child how to use the rake tines to slowly, laboriously scrape the grapes into reach. Both the chimp and child were able to quickly copy what they were showed.

Here is the difference. The child immediately realized that they could flip the rake over and use the flat part to drag all the grapes over in one quick swoop. The chimp never made that logical jump and kept copying the slow way it was shown.

The ability to rapidly envision other options and innovate is a distinct difference from apes/monkeys and humans. This isn’t determined by any one gene. It’s a complex combination of multiple genes. It is significantly harder to breed for something like this than for example brown hair or green eyes. Not impossible, but unlikely.

  • I ran a drill rig for soil sampling for a few years. One day it was 100F outside and we had to drill inside a drycleaners. They had dryers and steam presses going , so it was a humid 130F inside. We used a remote drill rig which required running 100 lb hydraulic lines from the truck outside. These lines got so hot you couldn’t touch them with a bare hand. So imagine trying to move these heavy as hell lines without them touching bare skin and while having to shift your hands around constantly to avoid burns.

That ties for worst with the day we drilled at a gas station in a farm field in the middle of nowhere where it was -20F not counting the wind chill. The thing about soil sampling for contaminants is you have to wash the drill between holes. At those temperatures everything froze instantly and the machinery kept locking up with ice. It took us 8 hours to do what would normally take 2. And then we got a flat tire driving back…
