Just speculation on my part, but perhaps they are using a different engine. The original was made in Unity, this one looks like it was made in Unreal.

Weird. As a die-hard collectathon lover I thought the game was “ok”. I played it after all the patches. Some challenges were ridiculous and unfun, worlds felt empty and too big at times. Controls were okay. Still fun to explore the worlda and find challenges.
From the steampage:
MORE BEAUTIFUL THAN EVER – With an art and animations overhaul and enhanced performance and resolution, the favourite buddy duo has never looked or moved better.
NEW AND IMPROVED CHALLENGES – Improvements to existing in-game challenges and many entirely new challenges to discover and undertake!
NEW COLLECTIBLE CURRENCY – Capital B’s inept minions have dropped their hard-earned coins all over the place. Collect the official currency of the Hivory Towers to spend on video games’ most beloved sentient vending machine.
NAVIGATING THE WORLD – Now you can get lost in the game, not in the world! A brand-new world map and challenges tracker helps you know where you are and what needs to be done. Hooray!
VENDI HAS PLENTY TO OFFER – Tonics are back with all new flavours! With the option to equip multiple game-changing enhancements, you can truly customise your playstyle. And as if that wasn’t enough, Vendi has new lines of merchandise for the modern fashionable adventurer.
REVISED CONTROLS & CAMERA – A new tweaked move set allows you to combine moves more fluidly while the new camera controls makes framing the action a breeze.
A DREAMY ORCHESTRAL SOUNDTRACK – The original score from famed video game composers Grant Kirkhope (Banjo-Kazooie) and David Wise (Donkey Kong Country) returns but as a beautifully arranged orchestral score. Now seriously, clean out those ears
Especially like the addition of the map and the new collectable. We’ll see if the updated challenges get rid of/fix the terrible ones.
If she used adobe suite for so many years, it would currently be agony to try and switch. It will take months, maybe even years to unlearn and relearn stuff properly.
Unless she only uses it for some simple cropping or something. Maybe you can add what kind of tools she actually uses?
I have the OG 46 mm (since its launch) and still charge it only about every 3 days.
Mostly use it to track steps, check time (obviously) and skip songs on my phone.
Man, I hope they’ll make some smaller sets too. These are really cool display pieces, but I don’t have the room or willingness to spend that kind of money.
The idea is that Heathcliff is an unnecessary addition to the comic, and that they still work without him.
If you’re the creator: I’ll (ironically) try to explain why. The text itself has almost no joke, no (strong) punchline. The biggest joke is “Dinosaurs discussing economics while rampaging”, which is ridiculous(thus the joke). There are some text jokes, but they don’t stand out in the dry matter that’s being discussed.
Due to the denseness of the topic being discussed, it feels more akin to reading a wiki article than a comic. The text distracts from the ridiculousness (or possibly a joke about housing? I dunno?). The text becomes the focus, thus that text is being discussed rather than the joke.
/this is the end of my ted talk about jokes I actually don’t know much about.
I kinda lowkey wish there was a signature option so that we could proudly put our early 2000 forum signature banners on display.
Actually, red is green, green is red. Blue is yellow, yellow is blue, and fuck why is everything monochrome.
Working title: the magic of friendship.
And what about the rights of the muggles that do streetmagic, illusionists, magicians and slight-of-hand masters? They can sort of bring some magic to the table.
Druids, mages, sages, shamans, that one weird aunt.
I think because the 16-bit astethic (when done right) still looks amazing today, where 8-bit is just a bit too limiting.
This is an answer?
I’ve been usung mint for about a month now.
I want to get rid of Windows, but I don’t want to spend my day sudo-ing my ass off.
Give me a gui for everything and doubleclick installers, and a release that is stable above all else.
I’m open to suggestions though! So shoot away which distro I should be using :)
My nephew uses arch btw.
You don’t meed to have any advanced meta knowledge to play most games. There are options like playing against easier ai’s or similarly skilled players.
Look at some Low Elo Legends from the game Age of Empires 2 on Youtube from T90. Most don’t use advanced meta.
Heck, I as a kid never used advanced meta and had loads of fun.
The internet TELLS you that the latest meta is necessary and that you play suboptimally. But they’re just optimizing the fun out of the game for you if you’re not that kind of player.
This mentality is even worse in competetive shooters. People playing the latest “meta” even though they don’t realize they don’t even have the skill to pull that meta off. I wish the “internet” would just let players have fun in their own way. And that playing games “suboptimally” can still be just as fun and rewarding an experience.

Haha thank you!
How to turn an average comic into something greater. Not because the new version was better (it is worse), but because of the confusion and discussion it sparked 😜
Never heard of Heathcliff, and after googling I still didn’t recognize it. Maybe an American thing?
Looking at some other comments, was there some beaf with Heathcliff and Garfield or something?
Ah, welp, I guess I didn’t get the the comic either then. Didn’t know about the Garfield thing.
3D models aren’t tied to Unity, so all 3D models could probably easily be imported to Unreal.
Unity also has a 3D model exporter, so they could have used that to get all 3D models positions into Unreal within minutes.
E: still stuff like animations and game logic obviously take more time. Not trying to say that porting a whole game can be done in minutes, just the 3D Models.
