What up my yingga? (I’m reclaiming the word)
I didn’t downvote but personally I’m not sure what’s dystopian about fewer people reading long, dense books and choosing to consume other, shorter media instead. It’s like saying less people watching opera is dystopian. What’s the problem with a medium becoming unpopular?
Soon they’re going to change the name to “M” and sell them individually
How are they still in business? Every single farmer, bar none, has to know about their business practices
Wendover Productions has a decent video on John Deere’s market dominance. tl;dw It’s by cutthroat capitalism of course.
John Deere has bought out all their competitors and continues to do so. Every single breakthrough in farming equipment technology in the last decade is owned by John Deere. As a farmer, you either choose to sign a one-sided contract with John Deere or you use outdated inefficient equipment that John Deere hasn’t purchased the patent rights to. Or, of course, you sell your farm all together. Large corporate farms don’t care much about the John Deere contract since they have the power to negotiate a better deal. A lot of small farmers have been making the choice to sell out.
Soon, all farming will be done by one megacorp, buying their seed from Monsanto, using John Deere equipment, and cashing in a ridiculously fat subsidy cheque from the government.
Economics really sucks at accounting for the value of human life. I remember there was a study on the financial impacts that smokers have on society. The idea going in was that smokers would get health issues which would cause a financial drain on societies which pay for people’s healthcare. The study actually found that smokers weren’t a drain at all. Smokers tended to die quickly, meaning no chronic health treatments. More importantly, they died young. Meaning they didn’t cash in their government pensions. Governments were essentially profiting off smokers. The study did another analysis, this time putting in a fake number for the “value of life” and the result was as expected. Smoking is a negative because it kills people.
Here are the worst offenders.
Paper towels and toilet paper, Breakfast cereals, Candy, snack foods like chips and cheetos
the Pope is infallible
Technically, the pope needs to explicitly invoke infallibility before making a statement if he wants it to be infallible. The last time this was done was 1950 to state Mary, mother of Jesus, had both her body and soul transported to heaven. Other statements are just the pope’s opinion and followers of the faith are allowed to disagree without being heretical.
Innuendo Studios has a series covering popular bad faith arguments called “Alt-Right Playbook”. I think these kinds of arguments are used so often that even people who aren’t trying to push an agenda have started using them.
Unfortunately, my friends play it and I’m often roped into playing it with them. My advice: The game is greatly improved if you disable all forms of interaction with other players. Chat is muted by default now, but I’d also recommend muting pings and emotes. No form of interaction is ever positive in that game.
Even then, their matchmaking algorithm seems to be designed to hand an easy win to one team and just switches up which side you’re on enough times that you won’t quit.
I feel bad for Indian people. India is one of the most populated countries in the world with an amazing history and culture and all you ever hear is that their men cannot stop themselves from sexually harassing and raping women and their government not only doesn’t do anything to stop that but actively encourages it.
It’s a lot easier to accept when you absolutely know the people who made your favourite series are gone.

“And being financially irresponsible”. He took the £1 million he made and blew it on luxurious items and now it’s all gone. He could have won the lottery and it’d be the same story.
You don’t own anything you purchase on Steam
Games sold on Steam are not required to use Steam’s DRM. There are lots of DRM free games on Steam. Steam is only required to be installed to purchase/download them but not to run them. After download, the game files can be copied and ran on any computer without any verification.
…on what?
It’s crazy that they released it. They had early access and preorders and those only attracted something like 1,000 players. This is a game that had a $100 million budget. So few players during the early stages should have told the studio to cancel it while it was still in production. Apparently they thought they’d release it and would just jump from 1,000 players to 100,000 overnight with no changes.
In the “other references” they link to the bulbapedia article for Pokemon box so I figured thats what the whole thing was about, but yeah it does read like accessing data on a server
My guess is the “Pokemon Box Storage” system since palworld stores pals in a palbox.
Hello,promitheas
Welcome to Linux Community.
It sounds like you are experiencing some quality issues using Microsoft forums, could you please provide some details to let us assist you better:
1->General System Information: Could you provide some details about your PC’s hardware specifications? Specifically, the processor, amount of RAM, and the graphics card you are using.
2->System File Check: When you say you automatically checked system files, did you use the built-in System File Checker (SFC) tool? Did it report any issues, or did it indicate that everything was fine?
3->Event Viewer: In the Event Manager, can you provide more specific details about the critical errors you see? For example, the exact error messages and any associated error codes.
Have you researched the specific error messages you found in the Event Manager (e.g., Application Error, Application Hang, Windows Error Reporting, DbxSvc, DistributedCOM, nvlddmkm)? Understanding these errors can often provide clues about the root cause of the problem. In the meantime, are you getting a blue screen on your device, and if it’s convenient, try to see if a small dump file has been generated in the corresponding path, which you can upload and share with me-<Read small memory dump files - Windows Client | Microsoft Learn>
4->Cooling and Hardware Issues: Have you noticed any unusual temperature increases while running games or any other hardware-related issues like unusual fan noises or system freezes?
5->Rollback to Previous Windows Version: If the issue started immediately after switching to Windows 11, have you considered rolling back to your previous Windows version temporarily to see if the crashes persist?
The five points of detail above are intended to give me a better understanding of the situation so that I can give potential advice and solutions.
Best regards,
