And how many of these comedians hold their tongue regarding religion and people of power when performing in their home country? Or when touring internationally on non-state-funded tours?
Don’t take my opinion of these comedians as anti-Saudi. I was plenty anti-Saudi before this. If these ‘comedians’ agreed to take money from the US president to not make mean jokes about him, I’d be just as disgusted at their lack of spine.
Not the same scenario. The equivalent would be these comedians doing a set that was paid for by the White House, with a list of restrictions on what could be said. Which would receive just as much backlash
So because we can’t immediately fix our world, we should abandon all hopes and dreams of a better future?
If people want to envision a future for mankind that is a bit farfetched, what’s the harm? Let it inspire people to make the world a better place. Better than being a cynical prick who scoffs at any sort of positive ideology.

Can I enquire how 15,000,000 copies sold was down to luck? They released a solid game with fun gameplay, great music, and an eye-catching art style. They priced the game competitively, even considering international pricing. All of this seems like choices that were made with intention, not the roll of a dice.
You could perhaps argue that there was luck in people seeing the games initial campaign on kickstarter, but I don’t think you can excuse the rest as ‘luck’.

Why do one person’s past decisions (to not go to university / to take on and pay off debt) mean that people in the future should not benefit from a better system?
Education is great! Whether it is through college, or vocational training, or on the job learning. If removing student debt can allow people to earn one type of education with less stress, how is that not a benefit?
