Wouldn’t a better alternative be a local bank to help your community? I remember reading about a city here in Brasil where the locals started a bank with their own currency with the goal of helping everyone get better conditions in the city and it actually worked, inside their community only their money is accepted and it helped them be able to help themselves since the state just completely ignored them.

EDIT: Just found an article about it here. It’s not actually by city, but rather a community bank in neighborhoods or certain regions of a city, with some favelas being the biggest examples. And I thought there were just a few, but this article talks about around 150 of these community banks with their own social currency just here in Brasil alone.

AI images of food just piss me off to no end. The amount of times I have seen generated images of food in delivery apps is too fucking much, and the worst part is that they don’t even need to do that, they can just take any good photo from the internet and put it in there, like they already did 9 times out of 10, so now not only is this shit false advertising, but AI slop that makes no sense and doesn’t even look good.

I guess it makes more sense as an end-user if you need rather up to date software, I game a lot so having newer kernel, KDE and mesa versions are a must for me. For distro devs it means they have a much more standard environment since everyone’s system is practically identical software-wise where it matters for them.

Mainly stability for me. I don’t have to worry about my system breaking because I can easily rollback to a previous version on the grub menu, then I can pin a working image and/or rollback to multiple versions behind if I need it for whatever reason. I also don’t need to worry about updating because Bazzite just updates in the background and applies it on reboot/shutdown.

The fastfetch config might be in their github somewhere. I have searched how to do this on fastfetch, but I didn’t have much luck, there is a repo on github about doing that on arch, but I didn’t find where were the colors they were using.

I’ll take a look into it with a VM then. I also decided to look around into what is used for tiling on KDE right now, last time I tried it the big one was Bismuth which had a cool ass logo, but seems like nowadays the 2 options are Polonium and Krohnkite. There’s also one that takes inspiration from Niri stuff, called PlasmaZones, but it is not auto tiling.

I’m a KDE girl but this is pretty cool! I heard of Niri before but never seen much of it outside r/unixporn.

I’m not gonna lie, I do have the urge to try out some form of tiling WM, but every time I tried tiling capabilities, I have found it confusing and had to keep excluding apps from floating here and there. If anyone has any tips for this, I’m willing to test it on KDE so I can finally get what the appeal is.

Also I love how these tiling WM desktops looks like, but I find it daunting to do this level of customization that so many do, I wish I had the patience. Maybe I’ll try zirconium on a VM to see how it is.

Not long ago Humberto Matos made a video defending Érika Hilton, a trans woman in congress who was being attacked by right wingers trying to delegitimize and invalidate her. And you can guess what the comment section looked like, a bunch of TERFs, communist transphobes and right wingers.

I heard of this situation on R*ddit the other day and the comments were mostly the usual “GNOME BAD!!11! Good thing there were a couple of good comments highlighting that Mint was in the wrong for several reasons.
