If you’re going to be using the shower, then what you prefer!
I love the look of the traditional style but dislike using them for getting the temp wher i like it, so if it were me it would be the rite-temp.

McBride hosts a YouTube channel titled “Judgment Day With Joe McBride.” He claims that someone attempted to assassinate him for his role representing January 6 defendants by remotely taking control of his 2020 BMW X5 M-Sport and attempting to cause him to crash at high speed. He additionally claims that in the aftermath of this assassination attempt, his 2020 BMW X5 M-Sport would only drive in reverse, and that he drove from the Fort McHenry Tunnel to Washington D.C. (approximately 39 miles) in reverse.[39]

He additionally claims that he simultaneously experienced Lyme Disease, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, the Epstein-Barr virus, and long COVID after being vaccinated for COVID-19.[40]

We had an old manual Ford Escort that we had drilled the ignition out of and put a switch in instead. No one figured it out without us telling them (friends family borrowing). Ours wasn’t even really hidden, just unexpected… thieves rarely want to spend extra time and effort on unexpecteds.

Kindnessskills makes some great points. Bet they smell fresh as a daisy out camping!

We used to do outdoor music festivals and would camp for days so we could have a safe place to walk “home” to drunk and stoned. I learned some tricks from those party folks on staying fresh while young n sweaty and tent swapping. Just being able to get a lil fresh water with soap and/or wipes to the stinky triangle (pits to crotch) helps a ton.

You mentioned you already use a tub. How do you feel about taking a bath to get all soapy and sudsy and then just doing a shower rinse off? Even a quick soak ensures it soapy wayer gets in all the crevices.

Other folks mentioned wipes… might want to look into nursing home hospital stuff. Many things made for people who cannot shower or take a proper bath and still want to be clean (found lots of useful things for camping!) As said elsewhere, daily showering (especially hot water) is very rough on the skin.

Not quite the same but, near me there is an on-ramp for a highway that they added a turn lane onto. They used an existing straight lane and added lines and arrows to denote the change. No one heeded these new lane rules so they added a row of standing, plastic, reflective Ballard like lane dividers to separate the turn lanes from the others. They were quickly driven over by all the traffic and no longer exist.

Phew! I hoped that had come off as snarky and fun. Hard to tell with text.

I’m fairly crafty but I may need some tips from that uncle of yours.

Not where I live. All those charges for the use of their electricity here. I definitely do not have space to set up my own personal nuclear reactor on my patio. Not even sure I could scavenge enough free materials to build it, even if I found free designs/blueprints.

As I go to type it, boy it sounds nerdy. Doin’ it anyway.

Our library has different meetup groups, DND, board game, gardening, book clubs of course, etc. They also separate kids, teens adults; might be a place to at least poke around to find out where/what other locals are doing.

Eta- if your local branch doesn’t have these, check nearby one’s. You often don’t need a card to join these.

One complaint. Not happy they chose Andy Dick to be in it, but at least they made him the bad guy so little kids who watched could dislike him! Watched it more than once and would again.

Still my favorite ‘jacked up’/caffeinated squirrel scene, with Over the Hedge being a close 2nd.

I feel for you on this. We have a local happenings group for our area on fb. It’s much more of a local racists posting and saying shitty things group. Though, since their #1 rule is no reporting, we don’t care about your feelings, I like to go there when I need to vent at these asTrump.

I’m fairly certain its get a lot of fake accounts stirring up shit, so I like to find the ones that actually seem to be a real person and let off a reply with a flood of facts and reputable sources. Then I come back a few days later and view their string of posting back. It follows a usual pattern, unfounded statements, then dems are demented (and everyone not maga is a demonic dem or libruhl, which are one in the same to them), insults, memes of trump. They definitely appear to have a brainwashed/cult mindset.

It won’t change anything but it gives me somewhere to let off some steam. And they can’t report me for my trolling or they have to admit they got their feefees hurt by a libruhl.

I apologize that I don’t bring ‘good’ advice with me only anecdotal! …There also the community adhdwomen@lemmy.world, someone there may have some hepful suggestions!

I’m older, wasn’t diagnosed until well into adulthood, also female. Of course, it didn’t help that it was deemed medically impossible for girls to have adhd back when I was growing up, for getting proper diagnosing.

What really pushed me over the line to finally get diagnosed were the adhd communities here and elsewhere. Some of the silliest memes will sometimes have some great conversations within the comments. Posts with articles others found interesting, various answers folks have for questions asked… I have learned a lot, and get a lot out of, reading through other’s experiences, and getting some feedback on my own.

For me, I retain more from an article posted and then that ‘live’ conversation, vs. a book that might present multiple topics, that I then start researching one of, then fall down some random rabbit hole instead of continuing the book in any sensible amount of time.

Best of luck to you, in finding the resources you’re looking for, and all your journeys!

I try to do similar for our kitchen but one of mine just lays there and takes it at the ‘line’ between rooms. He is super food oriented so he’ll put up with anything to stay in the area. BTW I also train my cats to do tricks for treats, food oriented ones are the easiest to get to cooperate with that idea.

I also like to go around and wake everyone up midday when I take lunch (I work from home). Helps make them want to sleep, at least a little, at night instead of staying up being noisy assholes.

Maybe the issues is they do believe in the bible and christianity? This is the religion that wiped out any others that were not aligned with it’s specific message and goals. It absorbed it’s morals, rituals and holidays from the others it destroyed. I mean, there was a fucking inquisition! Crusades. How many have been murdered by not following the ‘law of god’ or not being in the ‘right’ religion? Is it really morally right to treat and trade women like possessions or farm animals? To kill the firstborn of everyone who disagrees? ‘Oh, we dont follow that part anymore, we cherry pick what we want to use and believe in.’

It does not take religion to have morals. Being religious doctrine, does not make a thing moral.

Came to mention Les myself. Anytime I hear he has released something with another artist is always a surprising treat.

Some of do wish we were tall. Not all of us care what a potential mate finds “cute”. We want to be able to be safe wearing seatbelts instead of higher chances of decapitation. We want to be responded to like adults, especially in our 40’s, instead of treated like children. We want to be independent while working on and around our homes without fear of falling of stools and ladders to put dishes away or calling a man for help. Being told a job your interested in wouldn’t be a good fit, because of your size…

I even have pairs of “shit stompers”, as my friends call them, platform boots that give me about 2 1/2 inches more height so I can be self-reliant. Sold as “clubbing boots” but I wear them regularly for mundane shit.

Getting literally looked down on, by everyone, everyday, gets really tiring, especially after decades of it. I am 5"3 (so not even THAT short) and can’t see shit in large crowds besides asses and backs. Have been actually stepped on by tall folks (even people just at 5’6"… like, come the fuck on) who don’t realize there are people shorter than their eyes and don’t care to look down. My head gets hit by average and tall people’s elbows (hard) in club or crowd environments because again, they have no idea someone can exist below their eyeline, or just don’t care. Can’t go to bars or clubs alone because we are easy “marks” so we need an adult or a man to accompany us, to dissuade sexual preditors.

Anyone remember vehicles with bench seats? How degrading is it to not be able to reach the pedals because the seat only has 3 notches, and the closest one is still for people taller than you? Getting told “you should get yourself a booster seat” like I’m a kid in a restaurant.

Not every girl wants to be “cute”. Some of just want to “be”, and be safe. Self defense classes really drilled into my head the dangers of “looking like an easy mark” it’s assumed short women won’t put up as much of a fight and are easier prey. Learned to carry a “big” presence, and found a lot less sketchy characters would try to approach me. Staying that alert is fucking exhausting and makes going out, at night, in cities, to large parking lots, to bars and clubs, to concerts, a lot less enjoyable.

Sorry for the rant. But just because some folks might see short as cute, does NOT mean we short folks concur, or see that “cute” makes up for the rest of the shit and dangers we have to deal with. Or, even want to be “cute”.

Got this from another lemmy user.

I mentioned this one on another post. It’s good enough I’m gonna throw it out there again. Kung Fu Mahjongg. All 3. …and Kung Fu Hustle

Edit to add, thier whole troop is amazing. Silly stories made amazingly entertaining, due to the charismatic cast and, creative and well executed choreography.

Tucker and Dale vs. Evil! Amazing movie! I put it on one day just so I could check it off my list of new things out and, figured if I love the Evil Dead series (and also, as someone else mentioned in the thread, the Re-Animator) how awful could this be… it wasn’t. It was fantastic.

Enjoyed Little Evil too. So, I’m putting Colossal on my list right now!

Combs just brings a captivating presence wherever he goes!

King Fu Mahjongg, and all the rest of that troops movies.
