I would say you are right, because all the playable legends are able to be bought with the free currency you can get by just playing the game.

I guess some people could make the argument that paying players have faster access to new legends and legendary finishers, etc. I would say this is more like “pay to skip some grinding” than “pay to win”.

The drug sniffing dogs aren’t, not necessarily because its cruel to the animals, but because they have been shown to not be 100 percent reliable, and are commonly used by the police to abuse peoples’ rights, as a tool to hide racial profiling, etc.

On the other hand, the police dogs that are trained and employed to bite people are an example of the extreme cruelty of humans, both towards animals and each other.

I think you misunderstand how money is made off of these kind of things. Companies like TikTok, and YouTube make money by showing you ads and collecting data on you to sell.

A federated app, like this one we are talking about, is ad free, open source, and does not collect data on it’s users for resale. Video hosting costs a lot of money, so unless users are willing to donate to keep it up and running, it will quickly run out of server space to host videos.

Yea, I’m a millenial, and I remember mostly only interacting with old Macintosh LCs in elementary school, and then Windows 95 and up after that. My uncle had an old Tandy computer running DOS, that I remember at least learning how to run a game on, but by the time I was interacting with a computer, regularly, Windows 95 and AOL were the most common thing.

Usenet is awesome, but the fact that you have to pay for Usenet access defeats the main purpose of pirating for a lot of people.

Don’t get me wrong, it is super cheap(60$-100$/year?) and worth it to pay for Usenet from what I understand, but as a poor kid that discovered torrenting out of necessity, paying for Usenet back then would’ve been out of the question. Not really. Just Sega CD. The PlayStation and the Saturn both came out in 1994 so they were directly competing with each other. The Dreamcast didn’t come out until 1998, after the PlayStation was already successful.

It’s weird to root for a multi billion dollar corporation, especially Nintendo, even if you think Palworld is in the wrong.

I can agree that IP theft can be dumb in some cases, and Palworld is cutting it pretty close there. Nintendo sues everyone, though, even for the pettiest of reasons, and this kind of behavior shouldn’t be encouraged.

Palworld isn’t actually putting a dent in Nintendo’s bottom line. Nintendo is just litigious against everybody, including their own fans, so of course they are going to sue a competitor.

Best rally Sim is definitely debatable, but it most definitely still holds up pretty well against more modern rally sims like Dirt Rally 2.0, and that is insane enough considering it’s age. The mods for RBR have definitely extended its lifespan.

The physics in RBR still feel better to me than the modern rally games like Dirt Rally 2, and WRC9 and what not, and that is incredibly impressive. I will say the modern games are better for competitive play and obviously have better graphics and immersion.
