61·1 month agoYeah, I’m neurodivergent and have a terrible memory. My life is full of alarms and notes and reminders for everything, otherwise nothing gets done.
While I’m well aware of the insidiousness of tech’s ever increasing privacy violations, I also look forward to things like AI being able to function as a full blown personal assistant to help me run my life.

19·5 months agoIndeed, not only “an accidental conversation” but an intentional one would fall outside the statute’s scope unless the U.S. citizen’s intent was to affect a foreign government’s policy in a concrete way. Thus, former basketball star Dennis Rodman most likely did not violate the statute when he traveled to North Korea and met with that country’s leader in an effort to promote “peace and love.”

2·5 months agoMight be, but it lacks the orange color Two Hands boxes usually have.
They don’t care about the cost if it means people they don’t like are being punished. The alternative could be half the price and they would still go this route.
The cruelty is the point.
Whereas my ADHD has me keeping huge numbers of tabs open (although my record is only ~350) because once it’s closed, it’s completely gone from my mind. Bookmarks are a burial ground, and history has all the other stuff that I don’t need to reference anymore. With tabs, I can go through them and remember why I kept it around, and close it once I’ve actually done something with it.
5·7 months agoI wasn’t making any arguments for or against. For the record, I don’t agree with the comic. I simply found it relevant based on it touching similar topics to what you wrote, and thought I would share. But, that’s my bad for posting a link with zero explanation.
