Ya this is a huge deal for a line item in a patch notes. HDR being (relatively) simple was the only thing really making me miss Windows as an Nvidia user.

These are huge! Thank you for the suggestions I will get to implementing all of these. The only thing I’ve done so far similar to what’s in this list is backing up to my git repo, which is very nice. Every setting change gets committed. Is that different than snapshotting?

I believe it was the realtek NIC and some settings offloading to the hardware I set during troubleshooting. Installed the Realtek driver in the plugins and changed those settings and so far no instability! Thank you for the tunable suggestion though I will also be checking that out!

The downside is OPNsense is it’s information light, and a bit inscrutable lol I’m having an issue with my WAN dhcp going offline, seems to be happening on a cadence. My modem is fine, connection is valid. Rebooting the OPNsense box fixes it. Losing my mind a bit but I’ll figure it out 🙃

Just moved to an OPNsense network. Setting up unbound was so nice and simple. Much preferred over pihole.

I’ve been trying to tell all my friends who are self-hosting curious when they see my setup that the feeling of reconnecting with your library is worth all the work alone. It’s like having your old iPod with YOUR library. Adding more to it, reassessing what’s serving you or what can be trimmed, making sick playlists that mean something to you. It’s all so intentional. Algorithmic music is incredible for discovery and that’s about it.

I’m genuinely surprised at the polish and well thought out development with so very little support given so far. I had a question regarding performance in Trivalent, but didn’t know if I should field that here or in github or possibly somewhere else. If you can let me know, I’d really appreciate it.

Steam Link also works really well as for low latency streaming to Quest in my experience on my Quest 2.

I’ve been working on a journaling app for a couple months that uses CalDAV for syncing. I found out there’s a underutilized part of the VCALENDAR component for journaling and couldn’t find a good journaling app with sync that supported it. Got as far as a compotent TUI app, snyc, journal management, wrote a text editor. I am not a developer, btw, I’m a datacenter engineer. I’ve been working on edge-cases and dragging my feet on moving on to a GUI. But this honestly sounds so much better. And if there will be mobile apps, this is definitely going in my stack.
