Is this considered “hardcore”? After the mobile apps bit the dust I left and never looked back. I don’t like meta stuff because of privacy concerns. Fediverse only for me

Id be cautious about using sharpies on eggs. The shell is pourous. It looks like you’re using a regular pen. You’re probably fine but we avoid out of an abundance of caution
I can’t wait to get deported (I’m brown) while my son, who is white as fuck (but technically Latino) stays behind. 🫡
This looks like my wife’s placenta cater she delivered our child
Yeah, I wasn’t sure initially if I’d like it enough to pull the trigger on lifetime. I should have. Been paying for the annual subscription for the past ~2 years, but the price of lifetime has steadily been increasing. Will probably pull the trigger later this year as a little celebration gift to myself for wrapping up other financial obligations.
I run Qobuz through a roon server on my Linux pc and it works great. I also have qobuz set up through strawberry, but it’s nice to be able to switch the output on the fly between different audio setups in my house (between my office setup and my bluesound streamer in the living room). The interface for roon is nice, but I get that it’s kinda expensive and there are cheaper ways to achieve the same thing. I like to stream while I’m biking on my indoor trainer and sometimes it’s nice to spin up a few songs and let roon take the wheel to keep the vibe going. I can also stream qobuz through roon to my Google home devices, but it doesn’t stream bit perfect.
All that to say, I like qobuz and roon is pretty solid as well, albeit an extravagance and totally not necessary. The writeups qobuz has are also solid.
I do think the qobuz app interface leaves something to be desired.
I’m currently on paternity leave. Took 8 weeks broken into two chunks. 5 weeks when baby was born and 3 when my wife’s 12 weeks ended. I couldn’t imagine taking a few days and diving back into work. Both my wife and I work demanding jobs - I’m not sure I’d feel the same bond with my son if I didn’t have this time… I also wouldn’t have the same appreciation for how challenging it can be to be solo with the kiddo. It’s pretty much a full time job to feed, change, and tend to the little guy. He’s fighting to be a never napper and wakes up after 20-30 mins in his bassinet. Only gets longer naps if on my lap, which pretty much locks me down in whatever chair were in when he falls asleep (I know I can’t do contact naps forever and need to get him used to falling asleep on his own).
All that to say… I think all dad’s should get paternity leave. 5 weeks is fine. 8 is good. 12 is perfect.
It’s good. Simple playback loop. Upgrades are slow but unlocking new cars is rewarding. No micro transactions.
Not exactly what you’re looking for in terms of being free, but you could get a Qobuz subscription then use Qobuz-dl to snag what you want to download in lossless quality.
Hey! There’s not too much cheeto dust because I eat the cheetoes with chopsticks to keep my fingies clean and because the chopsticks are ₊♡⊹˚₊ kawaii ₊˚⊹♡₊
Definitely about ease of use. After borking my system a few times it was just easier to go with endeavor.
Exciting to see endeavoros making the list. I’m one of the 0.06%! There’s dozens of us!!
You can also get qobuz working through strawberry and it’s pretty straight forward. Just need to grab the app secret with qobuz-dl
There is no “a” in the sentence he typed out and his clicks are all on the letter. Unreadable.
Looks like a San Marcos style blanket. Very furry with an animal printed on it 👀
Same, recently traveled from the US to Paris and they used a facial scanner. Also used one upon my return to the US and I have Global Entry.
Earlier this year when I made the switch as I was getting blue screens at least once a day while gaming. Initially to endeavoros with cinnamon, then switched to Hyprland.
There have been some fixes that make me wonder at what point am I tinkering vs implementing a fix that should be included in the base version of the Linux flavor… Many rabbit holes over the last 6 months, many more to come.
