League of Legends was evil for this. I got shadowbanned to rhe quitters server for having a bad internet connection, and parents who’d demand I go buy groceries instantly, and yell if I fon’t.

Those are the same type of people that cause damage in the economy by scamming others, leading to preventable deaths.

Being caught cheating in a game, should leave you unemployable, with no welfare, and businesses should refuse to serve you.

Just make a government black list.

So long as you NEED other’s services, you are exploitable. They can blackmail you to do downright immoral things, just to survive.

Now imagine trying to shut off the electricity of someone who has solar panels, or starve someone who has their own food. You have say, 500.000 people who need a lot less money, and have a lot more time on their hands, who using violence and cohersion against, would be ineffective, and you have a problem.

Eh, that’s why I plan to make a Lemmy community centered around basically food/water/energy self-sufficiency, to cockblock exploitation like this.

Once I rehabilitate myself first, and adopt that lifestyle myself fully.

Well, they cause me harm, because I feel that the developers are trying a cheap trick to get me to play their games. And also, popping it open in some places is unacceptable.
