Proposing an individual solve a systemic problem is disingenuous. They’re saying that society could fix the problem if it cared to; we are choosing to let kids go hungry as a culture because it “costs too much,” as if the starving child isn’t a too-high cost that we’re already paying.

They’re saying that we need to reevaluate our society’s social priorities, and you’re saying they should give up everything themselves if they care so much— as if that would solve the systemic problem instead of creating another starving person.

I know you can import .midi files, it might work by exporting as a MIDI (if possible) and trying it that way?

I do wish they’d include some CRT shaders on their version of DOSbox though. Lots of those games’ pixels were never meant to be seen by the naked human eye.

I’ve been working my way through Demon’s Souls on my Steam Deck. It runs perfectly, I’m very impressed with the folks who made RPCS3. I got connected to the Archstones private server too, so I can get a little bit of the online experience— bloodstains and messages, mostly.

It’s amazing how much of the Soulslike formula had already been worked out in the very first game. It feels very much like playing Dark Souls, and while not quite as polished it is still very fun.

I’ve beaten the Phalanx, now I’m poking around at the other locations.
