Just chilling
I believe at the v6 bump something in libalpm changed and it broke the way I had installed yay, at least. Took me a bit to fix because previously I’d just installed yay with go install
and IIRC that didn’t work to rebuild.
I want to say this was the issue: https://github.com/Jguer/yay/issues/1519
Oh no is my yay
going to break for a week or two again?
I usually think TurboTax is tracking me and selling my data to Google and others.
If it’s the Monopoly Man then it works on two levels. As one of the most popular games of all time, it’s safe to say it’s a big game. So the hunter would be a big game. And also hunting a big game.
BRB stealing your elementary school identity
Yeah, this is pretty textbook selection bias.
Piracy is just staying over at a friend’s house.
Did you just RTFM me? Or I suppose RTFW? 😂😅 (Thanks, I’ll read up there)
How critical is outside? Mine is inside and it doesn’t seem to have caused problems.
I did say it’s my first playthrough, lol. Thus far my biggest enemy has been myself, and a hungry mysterious vampire.
I also made this meme before I even attempted to fight, and once I did, was pretty relieved at how easy the fight was. But without any context it’s an intimidating popup.
How very apt that Hollywood would be so skilled at projection.
I mean, I’ve had this prepared professionally and it was exceptional and consistent. And I knew immediately I probably didn’t ever want to prepare it myself.
I do all my Linux kernel development, and especially compilation, on my steam deck.
Most of this seems like it could be troublesome but developmental and not really concerning. Then the last two points went from 10 to 100 real quick. This needs to be reported to the school administration, period. There are people whose job it is to figure out the truth of the situation as best they can, but they need to know where they’re needed.
Not to mention you really can’t hide that other drive from windows, and I’m sure a lot of the security tools would start screaming about new storage added when not expected. Data Loss Prevention is a big deal and random storage showing up doesn’t often mean the user has good things planned.
The purpose of Linux is to be a free and open source OS kernel on top of which free and open source software can provide whatever user experience they want to provide and users are free to pick one.
If this was not a zero day being actively exploited then you would be 100% correct. As it is currently being exploited and a fix is available, visibility is significantly more important than anything else or else the long tail of upgrades is going to be a lot longer.
Keep in mind a list of federated instances and their version is available at the bottom of every lemmy instance (at /instances), so this is a really easy chain to follow and try to exploit.
The discovery was largely discussed in the lemmy-dev Matrix channel, fixes published on github, and also discussed on a dozen alternate lemmy servers. This is not an issue you can really keep quiet any longer, so ideally now you move along to the shout it from the mountaintop stage.
I mean. “she was killed by the IDF” is passive voice, no? I think IDF is out of control as much as the next person but passive voice can be communicative and clear as much as active voice. And clearly it’s easy to reach for if you gave it as a counter example accidentally.
