I mean this. I do truly wish you the best, but the reality is close to 50% of marriages end in divorce. With the exception of forced marriages, all of them started thinking it would last forever. Way too many divorces end with one side getting screwed. “Just be careful of who you marry” is a recipe for failure when taken it context of the above statistics. Many people are trapped in bad marriages and can’t really get a divorce without getting screwed. So that 50% number should really be higher. Every walk of life we plan for the worst and hope for the best, or at least if a person is paying attention they do. Marriage is a huge item. Plan for the worst (prenup) and hope you never need it. Either that or risk winding up as a statistic.

If you don’t get one (and are told to get one) then get screwed and look back realizing had you gotten a prenup things wouldn’t have been as bad…. Well I’ll have a hard time finding sympathy.

Also the half the assets sound fair. Until you realize that it’s possible to lose more then half without a prenup.

Getting married without a prenup in today’s world is foolish. Ask marriage counselors and they will in general tell you to get a prenup. A prenup is wrote by two people and both have their own attorney. Anyone who refuses to get one or even discuss one is someone you should run from. A prenup details how a divorce AND how a marriage should run.

Also anyone who wants operating system or device level age verification doesn’t understand how bad things will get if we do that. It’s only about mass surveillance and selling of your data. It does nothing to protect kids.

Yeah, it’s hard to know without meeting that other person. Maybe they’ve dated a ton of people in their own age group and are just having no luck whatsoever other than meeting walking red flags. So they’re aiming for a younger person who hasn’t been screwed up in life yet. I know plenty of people In their 30s, who are so screwed up, you wouldn’t want to date them. So I would advise the original poster to go in with their eyes open, but have fun. There are plenty of people who have bigger Age gaps than that and they’re very happy. we really shouldn’t be calling the other person, a pedophile or a creep without having ever met them. I literally the only thing we know about the other person is they’re going out on a date with somebody.

Personally, I would’ve preferred to aimed for somebody who was 23 instead of 18. That five years could make quite a difference, but I’m also not going to judge because at 18 they’re an adult they can do what they want. And i recognize at 18 your brain is still developing. Then again there are people whose age is 45 and the brain is still developing. There are people who are age 38 who are so toxic you wouldn’t want to be anywhere near them, you probably don’t even want to live next to them in the next house over.

That is for a state constitutional amendment. I was talking about the United States Constitution. For that constitution the citizens get zero say.

I wish we the public had the right to vote on our constitution in the US. In the US the citizens don’t get to vote on constitution amendments. Only legislators get to vote.

If you were opening the window and they have the AC on that’s more expensive that will piss people off. Same if they have the furnace running and you have the window open the winter that will piss people off. As one other poster suggested it might be a humidity issue. During the winter try adding some humidity to the air in your room and see if that helps. Not a lot of humidity just small amounts and keep incrementing and see if it helps.

There are also other medical reasons that could be affecting this. A medical doctor might help. Be warned on the medical doctor, though every medical doctor medical professional has a small Toolbox to work with. And they tend to get blinders. So you may have to do a fair amount of research yourself.
