Work Reform@lemmy.world•Social Security can be saved. Scrap the cap!
144·1 day agoFraming social security this way is dangerously misleading. Yes, the amount you put in is capped, but the amount that you get to take out when you are old is also capped. I fully believe that taxes need to be progressive, but social security is not a tax, it’s a retirement fund.
I have never known a cat that was willing to shit in a neglected litter box. They just start going elsewhere.
It sounds like you’re behind on your mandatory dose of toxoplasmosis.
What happened to all the wolves in your area?
You’re just inventing a narrative here without any evidence. Yes there were some marketing stunts related to “PlayStations are building supercomputers” but those were done in collaboration with Sony, not despite them. It was just a marketing gimmick. Anyway, you have already stepped away from your absurd claim that Sony lost billions of dollars because of Linux.
Show me in the article where that says anything about it being the fault of Linux support?
No? That’s not a fact?

3·4 days agoUnintuitively, detecting the ads is not the hard part of making an ad blocker. The really hard part is removing the ad without the website detecting that you removed it. So even if you had a perfect lightweight model that can detect ads, you still have the hard part of making the ad go away.

71·5 days agoDocumented by who? The marketing departments definitely claim such things, but it’s been years of these claims and there has yet to be a single shred of evidence to back them up. I bet you’re going to tell me it’s just a total coincidence that after one of the marketing departments started claiming their AI has breached containment that suddenly a bunch of other AIs breached containment after a few days/a week.
