Then either is honestly a great choice, but the RG35XXSP does have a very slight feature advantage. But it does also have very clicky buttons (think original GPA SP but stiffer), so if you’re a button-feel person then that might be a deciding factor.
Thanks for this clarification. Certainly something to be aware of and pay attention to, but a little less instantly alarming than the OP title.
I bought a new TV last year after my Hisense kicked the bucket and had a similar experience.
Not sure if it applies to your situation, but I just factory reset my TV, never enabled wifi, and hooked up a smart device I had lying around (Nvidia Shield). Now it all works great and if the smart functions upset me I can throw just the smart TV part in the trash and go back to my VCR.
I’ve only started it, but it’s surprisingly good! I hesitate to recommend it too much because I’ve barely played any, but I’m definitely intrigued.
Man, that’s living the dream! I’ve been considering the same since they’re so cheap right now. IPS screen and a flash cart was my plan. Have you played the fan translations of Digimon Adventure?
Always nice to see old tech brought back from the dead. There’s a flash cart for the system for running roms. Lots of good fan translations!
Same, I often flip-flop. I like the crisp buttons on the Anbernic, but for games with rapid fire button presses they can het fatiguing.
Pokemon TCG Is my go to right now. For short bursts I also like pizzle games. The Neo Geo Pocket Color version of Magical Drop is really good, plays fast, and fits the small screen.
If you get around to finding it share some pics! Sounds pretty cool.
Mine was an older batch, good looking out though.
Nice! Looks super clean too. Is that joystick awkward to use?
Nice! Which color? I keep almost buying one, they’re just too cute and affordable.
Oooh, which Retroid?
Yes, sorry lol. RTC as in real time clock, for stuff like Pokemon games that use time of day in-game.
They’re definitely my two favorites! RG35XXSP (or the non-SP variant) if you don’t mind a bit of complexity and want RTC. Miyoo Mini+ if you want a dead simple UI that’s super clean (OnionOS).
Yes, from roughly 1997-2013 according to that image. In that one brief 16 year moment, it peaked.
I also second Pico8, tons of cool games over there!
