the conductor keeps time, communicates dynamics and rhythms that are more subtle than what is written on the sheet music, listens to everybody to keep the ensemble balanced. there’s a ton of nonverbal communication. this is more necessary in classical music where tempo moves around and there isn’t a ton of percussion to follow. in jazz, especially smaller groups, you can listen to the piano and drums to follow the tempo. but with 60 plus musicians, it’s really difficult to stay together when the tempo changes throughout a long piece.

18·17 days agoI did compositing! It was a blast to work on, we had the game on an arcade cabinet at our studio. We shared an office with Star Trek Lower Decks so there were cardboard cutouts of TNG characters everywhere lol.

2·21 days agoThe free demo has a lot of content if you just wanna check out the combat and see the beginning of the story to see if it vibes with you. and it saves your game so anything you do in the demo transfers to the game if you end up buying it

2·21 days agoI played the whole thing last week. It was incredible. I love the native perspective on the Western genre. the multiculturalism gives it a bit of a Game-of-Thrones esque fantasy vibe. The combat reminds me a little of FTL, and the minimalist aesthetic was very Hyperlight Drifter. Those are two of my favorite games so that’s high praise.
yeah! you shoot lots of arrows in this game. my spanish sucks i only realized it after i played the whole game.

the only issues i found were some combat jank where my character would clip on some object i thought i could run through. once you get good, and unlock some better abilities, bullets become easy to avoid. you don’t have to just dodge them, you can leap over them and deal damage on landing, you can deflect them back, you can teleport and stun on the same turn. tons of options. magic is def more effective than arrows against guns. i’ll have to go back and see if different choices affect my results. I don’t really care about rpg stuff personally, i thought it was funny you can use text options to get killed, and i was glad there wasn’t that much consequences for dying. it allowed me to focus on the combat strategy and story, which is what the game is about.
play just the beginning it’s easy to pick up
