I actually find wiping the stove top while it’s hot works really well. At that point all you need is a wet cloth and most things come right up, and being wet it protects you from the burning.

I have a regular electric stove top. I want a gas stove in my house because the heat stops when the gas stops :/

That’s just unheard of where I live… I still have a hard time believing American TV when people don’t take off shoes entering a house.

I’m also very much organized chaos. My wife will “helpfully” put things “where they go”. She hasn’t yet (in nearly 20 years…) figured out that if it’s mine “where it goes” is “where I put it”. I’m generally consistent with where I put things, but there’s little reason to any particular place for things.

I just have a rule that I don’t let things be disgusting.

Some people who spend their entire waking hours cleaning believe exactly the same as you. They just have different thresholds of “disgusting”. My in-laws are like that. I’m much closer to you; where I can easily accept untidy, but not dirty.

Even the game’s page on steam is usually useful. If you click on details in the deck verified page it tells you exactly why it’s not verified. Most of the time it’s something like not selecting the deck’s screen resolution by default, or needing the keyboard to enter a character’s name.

I have an HP LaserJet 4050. I bought it with 450000 pages on it, and have likely put on another 20000. It was built in 1997, and still works perfectly. All of its maintenance parts are user-serviceable, its toner is generic and readily available, and it supports postscript and pcl. All you need to use it on a modern computer is a serial or parallel port, or use its internal network server that uses both the standard lpr protocol or HP jetdirect.

Yes, there absolutely was a time when HP made good stuff. It ended in the mid 2000s. When they stopped production of the HP 48 and 50 series calculators was the end of their good years.

Is that still true? IIRC it got a lot better post-release. It runs fine for me on what is now modest hardware.

I’m in my 40s, and have been playing music since single digits. I still remember the order of lines in the staffs with “Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge”, “FACE”, “Good Boys Deserve Fudge Always”, and “All Cows Eat Grass”. I did teach my kids “Good Burritos Don’t Fall Apart”, though, since they seem to like burritos.

My internal math nerd agrees with the grandparent though, for some reason I just remembered the order of operations and was confused when my kids came home with PEDMAS. But to be fair, I use the order of operations every day at work, so 🤷. I’m also one of those people who will insist on using parentheses everywhere there’s more than two terms, though, so take from that what you will.
