Okay… I haven’t seen that happen. There are plenty of anarchists on hexbear and lemmy.ml, and they have anarchist communities.

They’re not using liberalism in that context, though, the one that Wikipedia says is often used as a pejorative. They’re not Republicans “owning the libs.” They’re using it in the “classical liberalism” context.

Where double standard? “Liberal” isn’t a pejorative, but “tankie” is according to Wikipedia.

I thought we were all trying to get away from politics.

First of all, why would you think that? Second of all, everything is political so that is literally impossible. And third of all, only centrists who want things to stay exactly as they are, because they feel they are are benefiting from the status quo, ever say such things.
